10 witnesses questioned in KWAP probe 24.07.2026

The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has intensified its investigation into the Retirement Fund (Incorporated) (KWAP) after the fund suffered RM200 million in losses from an investment in Indonesian aquaculture technology company eFishery. MACC chief commissioner Datuk Seri Abdul Halim Aman announced that a special task force has taken statements from 10 witnesses, including senior KWAP and Finance Ministry officials involved in the investment decision-making process. The task force, which began its probe on July 17, is now analyzing witness statements and reviewing seized documents, with plans to call more individuals, including members of KWAP’s Finance Committee and Investment Panel.
