At the 14th Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group Private Sector Forum in Baku on June 16, Huseynov, Advisor to the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan, detailed the nation's strategic focus on transport logistics and green energy. Leveraging its position between Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, Azerbaijan is enhancing its role as a Eurasian trade hub via the Baku International Sea Trade Port and the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway. These assets, alongside the strategic Middle Corridor, are critical for diversifying global supply chains and linking Central Asia to European markets. Beyond logistics, Huseynov highlighted Azerbaijan's commitment to energy security through existing oil and gas pipelines and new renewable energy initiatives. To further optimize regional integration, he advocated for the modernization of customs systems and digital trading platforms, supported by the IsDB's financing and technical assistance.
