Constanta: Romanian Naval Forces participate in MCM BLACK SEA to ensure security in the Black Sea 17.06.2026

The Romanian Naval Forces are participating in MCM BLACK SEA, a regional initiative from June 13-26 involving Romania, Bulgaria, and Turkey, aimed at combating sea mines and enhancing maritime security in the Black Sea. The mine hunter M 271 'Captain Constantin Dumitrescu' represents Romania, alongside Turkish ships TCG Ustegmen Arif Ekmekci and TCG AYVALIK, and the Bulgarian maritime dredger BGS PRIBOY. This collaboration underscores the importance of regional cooperation in addressing security challenges, protecting freedom of navigation, and improving response capabilities to threats in the current security context. The Romanian Naval Forces are actively engaged in systematic surveillance, monitoring missions, and developing operational plans to secure maritime and river borders.
