Islamic Development Bank shares plans to double financing within 5 years 18.06.2026

The Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group plans to significantly increase its financial support to member countries, aiming to double its financing over the next five years. IsDB Group Chairman Muhammad Sulaiman Al Jasser announced this goal during the 51st Annual Meeting, highlighting a substantial growth in approved financing from approximately $1.5 billion until 2001 to $6 billion by 2025. He expressed optimism about reaching double the latter figure within five years. Al Jasser also stressed the bank's commitment to enhancing collaboration with other multilateral development banks (MDBs), currently working with ten such institutions and actively involving the Arab Coordination Group, to foster sustainable economic development and expand the IsDB's influence.
