Vanessa Di Bartolomeo has been officially appointed as the director of Luxembourg's social-security inspectorate (IGSS) for a renewable seven-year term, effective September 15. The grand-ducal decree for her appointment was issued on June 9 and announced by the Ministry of Health and Social Security on June 18. Di Bartolomeo has been serving as the acting head of IGSS since February, a role that involves overseeing the design, analysis, and supervision of Luxembourg's social security system. Her extensive experience includes nearly 12 years at the Caisse nationale de santé as chief financial officer and a member of its management board, and prior leadership positions within IGSS as deputy director. Her expertise also extends to international roles and research in health insurance and social security matters.
