China’s National Medical Products Administration has granted approval to satricabtagene autoleucel (satri-cel), marketed as Kailimei, for patients with advanced CLDN18.2-positive and HER2-negative gastric cancer. The decision marks a historic milestone as the first regulatory clearance of a chimeric antigen receptor T-cell (CAR-T) therapy for solid tumors anywhere in the world. CARsgen Therapeutics, the developer, announced the pricing of 990,000 yuan (approximately $146,491) per infusion during an investor call on Tuesday.
