Samia reshuffles top officials to strengthen leadership in health, justice and foreign affairs 26.06.2026

President Samia Suluhu Hassan has reshuffled senior government officials, with key changes in the ministries of Health, Constitution and Legal Affairs, and Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation. The announcement, made on Friday by the Directorate of Presidential Communications through Chief Secretary Dr Moses Kusiluka, aims to strengthen public administration and institutional leadership. Dr Grace Magembe, formerly Chief Medical Officer, has been appointed Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Health, replacing Dr Seif Abdallah Shekalaghe. Dr Shekalaghe has been transferred to the Ministry of Constitution and Legal Affairs, succeeding Dr John Jingu, who recently became Chief Court Administrator in the Judiciary of Tanzania.
