Era of plunder and crony enrichment is over, says Anwar 21h ago

During the "Johor Ke Depan, Undi Harapan" programme in Sungai Mati, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim declared that the era of plunder and crony enrichment is officially over. Representing the Madani Government, Anwar emphasized a commitment to cleaning up administrative corruption to ensure national wealth benefits the public rather than private interests. He criticized the old culture of using political power to enrich family members through government contracts and urged voters to prioritize integrity over racial rhetoric. Anwar warned that no individuals would be protected if involved in corruption during his tenure. This speech occurred as part of his extensive campaign in Johor, where 172 candidates are contesting 56 state seats. He encouraged voters to reject dishonest leaders to safeguard future generations, noting that polling day for the state election is set for July 11.
