Her mother, Karina Blanco, endured intense despair as she searched the debris in La Guaira state. While trapped, Fabiana survived by eating ketchup and cheese and recorded a video plea for help on her phone. Despite initial difficulties for firefighters and volunteers like Viktor, rescuers eventually tunneled through the debris. Fabiana was pulled to safety at approximately 02:00 on Friday, suffering only a fractured foot and minor scrapes. The disaster resulted in 3,342 confirmed deaths and left tens of thousands missing, leaving the local community in mourning amidst the widespread destruction of buildings across the region.
