FACT CHECK: Claim that COVID-19 vaccine recipients will only live until 2030 is false 10.07.2026

A viral social media claim falsely asserts that COVID-19 vaccine recipients will die by 2030 and experience symptoms like blurred vision and fatigue. This misinformation, spread via an AI-generated video from "PH News Today," has garnered massive engagement on Facebook. Fact-checking investigations reveal no scientific evidence supporting these claims. In contrast, studies from the CDC, a 2023 global study of 178 countries, and a 2025 French cohort study confirm that vaccines do not increase mortality; in fact, vaccinated individuals showed a 29% lower mortality risk. The World Health Organization maintains that vaccines are safe and effective. This disinformation surfaced during a recent surge of mild COVID-19 cases in Quezon City, where infections rose by 265% between May and July 2026. Experts emphasize that the video is highly likely to be AI-generated.
