Taxi driver, 73, who lost consciousness while driving on ECP dies 11.07.2026

A 73-year-old taxi driver who lost consciousness while driving along the East Coast Parkway (ECP) on July 6 has died, according to police. The police were alerted at about 12:50 pm to an accident involving a taxi that was believed to have self-skidded. The driver was taken to Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), where he subsequently died. The Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed it received a call for assistance along the ECP towards the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE) at about 12:50 pm and conveyed one person to TTSH.
