Malaysia will not tolerate extremist, radical ideologies - Fadillah 11.07.2026

Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof stated that Malaysia will not tolerate the spread of extremist and radical ideologies, as they threaten the peace, stability, and unity of the country's multi-racial society. Speaking at the Sustainability of Nusantara Islamic Thought Seminar in Kuching, he stressed that efforts to curb such ideologies must begin with building a progressive and moderate society while strengthening character development through education rooted in religious values. Fadillah emphasized that this responsibility cannot rest solely with the government, requiring cooperation from families, educational institutions, and the wider community to prevent extremist ideologies from taking root at an early stage.
