Jair Bolsonaro, a far-right figure convicted in September 2025 of plotting to overturn the 2022 election results, is prohibited from using social media or communicating through third parties while serving a 27-year sentence under house arrest due to health concerns. The court also gave Bolsonaro's lawyers 48 hours to explain if he knew the letter would be published online.
