Nigeria, Hong Kong sign double taxation agreement to boost investment 14.07.2026

Nigeria and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of China have signed an Agreement for the Elimination of Double Taxation on income and the Prevention of Tax Evasion and Avoidance. The virtual ceremony on Sunday featured Nigeria's Minister of Finance, Mr. Taiwo Oyedele, and Hong Kong's Secretary for Financial Services, Mr. Christopher Hui. Oyedele hailed the agreement as a milestone in their economic relationship, underscoring Nigeria's commitment to a transparent and investor-friendly tax system.
