Fire at Narayanganj EPZ factory warehouse under control 15.07.2026

A significant fire broke out at a fabric warehouse of Ananta Apparels in the Adamjee Export Processing Zone (EPZ) in Siddhirganj, Narayanganj, early on July 14, 2026. The fire erupted around 4:15am and was brought under control after approximately three hours by nine units of the Fire Service and Civil Defence. According to Miron Mia, senior station officer of Adamjee Fire Station, the warehouse was closed at the time, and local residents and factory workers confirmed no one was inside. The flames spread rapidly due to the large quantities of fabric and some chemical substances stored in the facility, intensifying the blaze.
