In a July 13 interview, Trump stated, "We're going to take out Pickaxe Mountain. Tell the Iranians to be ready." The site, located about 220 kilometers south of Tehran and two kilometers from the Natanz nuclear complex, has been under construction since 2020 following a reported sabotage explosion at Natanz. The Natanz site was bombed during a US-Israel war on February 28 and again during a 12-day war last year, but the tunnel complex beneath Pickaxe Mountain was not struck.
