Foundation Future Industries, a US-based robotics firm, has already tested its Phantom humanoid robots in Ukraine for non-combat roles like material handling and reconnaissance. CEO Sankaet Pathak told Euronews Next that weaponization testing could begin "as early as next year," with humanoids filling a gap as ground combat becomes increasingly dangerous for soldiers. Pathak emphasized that humanoids are not designed for mass destruction, as bombs can achieve that more cheaply, but for precision missions where avoiding civilian casualties and infrastructure damage is critical.
