Ivory Park crime wave: Two arrested for kidnapping and robbery 7h ago

Police in Gauteng have arrested two suspects allegedly involved in a crime wave of kidnappings, robberies, and rapes in Ivory Park and surrounding areas. The arrests were made on Monday, July 13, during an intelligence operation in Ivory Park Extension 2, where a grey Toyota Rumion was intercepted. Provincial police spokesperson Captain Tintswalo Sibeko stated that the investigation began with the kidnapping of a 24-year-old woman on July 9, who was forced into a vehicle and held for ransom. Crime Intelligence, Ivory Park Detectives, the Ivory Park Task Team, and the Provincial Anti-Kidnapping Team collaborated to identify the vehicle, which was later linked to similar incidents in the Ivory Park and Tembisa policing precincts.
