Data breach reportedly targets India’s Kudankulam nuclear power plant 16.07.2026

A data breach attributed to the ransomware group World Leaks has exposed a massive cache of files purportedly related to India's Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant, the country's largest nuclear facility. The leaked data, posted on the dark web on June 11, includes blueprints of parts of the plant, supplier details, meeting records, equipment reviews, and insurance policies, according to Reuters. The files, totaling 14.3 gigabytes, were labeled as originating from Reliance Group, a contractor for the plant. Independent cybersecurity researcher Rakesh Krishnan first alerted Reuters to the leak, which contains documents dated from 2016 to mid-2025. However, Reuters could not independently verify the authenticity of all files.
