No role of Ajay, Ashish Mishra in Lakhimpur Kheri intimidation case: UP to SC 16.07.2026

The Uttar Pradesh Police submitted to the Supreme Court on Thursday that former Union Minister Ajay Mishra and his son Ashish Mishra will face no prosecution in the alleged witness intimidation case connected to the Lakhimpur Kheri trial. This submission was made before a three-member bench headed by Chief Justice of India Surya Kant during the resumed hearing of a plea in which the top court is monitoring the trial. The police clarified that only one person, Amandeep Singh, has been charge-sheeted in this specific case of witness intimidation.
