During a peaceful demonstration at Meskel Square in Addis Ababa, Getachew Reda, Chairman of the Tigray Democratic Solidarity party (Simret), urged the public to unite and compel the illegal TPLF faction to fully implement the Pretoria Peace Agreement. The rally, held under the banner “Stop the Abductions. Let Peace Prevail,” drew large crowds condemning the faction’s repression and systemic abuses against the people of Tigray. Getachew emphasized that organized resistance is urgent to force the faction to respect the accord, noting that the peace agreement’s brief respite has been shattered.
