The already exorbitant cost of modern graphics cards is poised to rise further, as reports indicate both Nvidia and AMD may implement new price hikes. According to Taiwan-based tipster BenchLife, Nvidia is proposing another round of increases for its Founders Edition cards and those from its add-in board (AIB) partners. Because Nvidia sells its GPUs and VRAM as a kit, AIB partners must absorb higher costs, which are then passed to consumers. The price increases are expected to impact current GDDR7 memory used in the RTX 50-series, as well as older GDDR6 memory used by AMD's Radeon RX 90-series GPUs.
