The Airline Operators of Nigeria (AON) has issued a stern warning to aviation unions, including the Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria (ATSSSAN) and the National Union of Air Transport Employees (NUATE), against disrupting flight operations. This follows a seven-day ultimatum from the unions demanding the remittance of outstanding five per cent Ticket Service Charges (TSC) owed to the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA). The unions argue that non-remittance has deprived aviation agencies of critical funding for airspace safety and worker welfare.
