Tinder is expanding its in-person events feature to dozens of new cities by September, as the dating app grapples with declining revenue and user numbers. Match Group, Tinder's owner, reported a revenue decline for the flagship app in the second quarter, causing its stock to drop over 10% in after-hours trading. Despite this, CEO Spencer Rascoff expressed optimism about Tinder's turnaround efforts, noting that monthly active users declined 7% in Q2, an improvement from the 8% drop in the previous quarter. He also predicted that daily active user growth would turn positive "any day now," though the app has not reported positive user growth in over three years.
