Most Americans still trust financial advisors over AI tools for major money decisions, study finds 06.08.2026

Fox News

A recent Gallup study conducted with Edward Jones indicates that most Americans still prefer human financial advisors over AI tools for significant financial decisions. The research, which surveyed U.S. adults who sought financial guidance in the past year, found that 73% used internet research, 35% consulted family, 32% turned to professional advisors, and 18% used AI tools like ChatGPT. Despite the growing use of AI, confidence levels remain starkly different: 79% of Americans have at least some confidence in financial advisors, with 25% expressing a great deal of trust. In contrast, less than 30% have any confidence in AI for financial guidance, and only 3% have a great deal of confidence.
