World's first 16-MW tension-leg floating wind platform goes online 07.08.2026

The Haiyou Anlan, the world's first 16-megawatt tension-leg floating wind platform, has commenced operations in the South China Sea. Installed at the Lufeng oilfield, approximately 136 kilometers offshore in waters 136 meters deep, the platform is designed to withstand typhoons. It supplies electricity directly to offshore oil and gas facilities through a 4.3-kilometer subsea cable, marking a significant step in integrating renewable energy with traditional offshore energy production.
