Security was heavily fortified, with razor fencing installed along the route and Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita imposed within a 750-meter radius of the assembly. Police used water cannons and resorted to lathicharge to disperse the crowd after some students breached barricades, with reports of injuries. Student leader Devendra Mahto appealed for discipline, noting it was Chief Minister Hemant Soren's birthday and urging no mishap like the Jantar Mantar protest.
