Charlotte Zammit, 44, from Xgħajra, was killed in a private residence on Triq Corrado in Żabbar on Saturday afternoon. Police were alerted to the shooting at around 3pm after nearby residents heard gunfire. Officers found Zammit dead in a ground-floor bedroom, and the suspect, Roderick Azzopardi, was also located inside the property. The firearm believed to have been used in the murder has been recovered.
