The event, which features IndyCars racing at speeds up to 180 mph, is the centerpiece of summer celebrations for the nation's 250th birthday. President Donald Trump plans to attend Sunday's main race, according to the White House, after he fast-tracked the event with a January executive order that bypassed local bureaucratic hurdles. The race was pitched by Penske Corporation president Bud Denker less than a year ago and is expected to draw nearly 300,000 people over two days.
