Testifying at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry on Wednesday, corruption-accused businessman Vusimuzi "Cat" Matlala declined to identify people he claims paid money to suspended deputy police commissioner Shadrack Sibiya. Matlala stated that suspended sergeant Fannie Nkosi acted as a middleman who allegedly collected the payments from individuals in Gauteng. When pressed for names, Matlala refused, saying, "I can't say who paid the money… I don't want to incriminate myself." He added that the information came from a third party who told him Sibiya had gone to collect the money.
