Kinondoni Municipal Council has closed 13 bars in Oysterbay and Masaki for violating noise regulations under the Alcoholic Liquor Licensing Act, following persistent resident complaints. Mayor Songoro Mnyonge announced the closures, which include Tips Bar, Element, Polosi, and others, noting that some ignored warnings to install sound-control equipment. The council also flagged concerns over public order, including alleged sexual activities in parked vehicles near the venues.
