Karnataka BJP to start 'Padyatra' from September 1 days after Nagendra's resignation 30.08.2026

The Karnataka BJP is set to begin a padayatra from September 1 to September 10, covering the route from Lingasugur in Raichur district to Ballari. Party President BY Vijayendra announced the march on Sunday, stating it will address several key issues, including the recent resignation of Congress leader and Planning Minister B Nagendra. Nagendra stepped down amid opposition pressure over the alleged Karnataka Maharishi Valmiki Scheduled Tribe Development Corporation scam. The padayatra will also focus on the ongoing drought in the state and the approximately 2.5 lakh unfilled government vacancies.
