Plans for a coach station on the Bonnevoie site are under consideration 02.09.2026

For the first time, the government has provided details on the future of a 90-are site along the railway lines in Bonnevoie, following a parliamentary question from MP Meris Sehovic. Mobility Minister Yuriko Backes revealed on Tuesday, September 1, that the project, led by CFL as landowners, aims to develop a second façade for Luxembourg's central station. The plan includes a coach station, a "Kiss&Go" short-stay drop-off area, taxi ranks, and a new passenger terminal. This terminal could house shops, services, secure bicycle storage, and rail operations facilities. The project is separate from previously known extensions, such as new platforms and a footbridge to Bonnevoie, and focuses specifically on recently vacated sites.
