Gamuda Technologies has launched the Gamuda AI Academy (GAIA) to democratize access to artificial intelligence careers in Malaysia, challenging the notion that AI talent is limited to computer science graduates from top universities. Since its inception in 2024, GAIA has trained over 350 graduates across three campuses: the KL Campus at Gamuda Learning Centre, the Sabah campus in Kota Kinabalu, and the Sarawak campus in collaboration with CENTEXS in Kuching. The program deliberately welcomes participants regardless of age, background, or prior career stage, positioning AI skills as a tool for social mobility rather than a privilege for a narrow demographic.
