Ninth person denies £1m protest damage 42d ago

A ninth individual, Julija Brigadirova, has pleaded not guilty to charges related to a protest at Instro Precision in Sandwich, Kent, on June 17, 2024, where approximately £1 million in damage was allegedly caused. Brigadirova, 33, from Manchester, appeared at the Old Bailey on Friday and denied criminal damage, burglary with intent, and violent disorder. She is one of nine defendants accused of breaking into the factory, which is part of the Discovery Park industrial estate, and damaging stock and computers. Palestine Action, the group supported by the protest, was proscribed as a terrorist group shortly after the incident. The other eight defendants previously denied similar charges in October. An eight-week trial is slated to commence on October 5 at the Old Bailey.
