The pet food industry is experiencing significant growth in Luohe, a city in China's Henan Province, driven by strategic advantages and local government support. An Zhongping, chairman of Petideal Pet Food (Luohe) Co., Ltd., established his company in Luohe in 2019, leveraging the proximity of Shuanghui, a major meat processor, for a daily supply of 200 tonnes of fresh meat. The location also benefits from a nearby courier distribution center, reducing delivery costs by 0.6 yuan ($0.09) per kilogram. The local government's assistance, including customized factory facilities and specialized loans, further facilitated the company's rapid development. Petideal's first production phase became operational in June 2021, marking a record for the fastest industrial project rollout in Luohe.
