On the afternoon of July 13, the Statistics Bureau (Ministry of Finance) announced the preliminary results of the 2026 Economic Census, providing a comprehensive picture of Vietnam's economic development. As of December 31, 2025, the country had nearly 6.3 million active economic establishments, including nearly 876,200 enterprises and cooperatives, and nearly 5.3 million individual business establishments. A notable highlight is that the business sector continues to be a key growth driver, with 859,048 active enterprises reporting business results, an increase of 2.4% compared to 2024 and 25.5% compared to 2020.
