The tenth nationwide referendum in Slovakia, held on July 4, 2026, is definitively invalid. According to official data from the Statistical Office of the SR, turnout did not reach the required 50% threshold, as only 16.14% of eligible voters went to the polls. Voters were asked to decide on issues regarding the abolition of life annuities for constitutional officials, such as Robert Fico, and the reinstatement of the Special Prosecutor's Office and the National Criminal Agency (NAKA). The total cost of organizing the referendum amounted to 12.4 million euros for the state treasury, meaning one vote cost approximately 18.80 euros. The results showed significant regional disparities; Bratislava reported the highest turnout at over 21%, while in some districts, such as Komárno or Dunajská Streda, turnout was below 10%. An exceptionally low, zero turnout was also recorded in three municipalities: Bystrá, Krajná Porúbka, and Sása.
