At least 52 people have been killed and 66 injured in Pakistani airstrikes conducted in Afghanistan since last Sunday, according to Hamdullah Fitrat, deputy spokesman for the Afghan government. These casualties were reported across the eastern provinces of Nangarhar, Paktika, Khost, and Kunar, as well as the southern province of Kandahar. The airstrikes followed clashes that erupted along the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan approximately a week prior. Afghan officials have stated that these cross-border hostilities have led to numerous casualties on both sides.
