Moldovan President Maia Sandu has declared a 15-day environmental alert and holds Russia fully responsible for the contamination of the Dniestr River, stating that the water cutoff is expected to last at least until Tuesday. The European Union has expressed solidarity with Moldova and offered assistance in addressing the pollution, with Commissioner Marta Kos highlighting that Russia's war extends beyond Ukraine's borders.
