ICEX Unveils ‘La Tarara,’ ‘La Llama’ for Cannes, Adds Carla Simón’s ‘Flamenco’ to ‘Where Talent Ignites’ Showcase 4d ago

Audiovisual From Spain, an initiative by the Spanish trade and investment body ICEX, is launching two new short films, "La Tarara" and "La Llama," at the Cannes Film Festival as part of its expanded 2026 "Where Talent Ignites" campaign. "La Tarara," a fashion film starring Ingrid García-Jonsson and directed by Nicolás Méndez, explores contemporary visual storytelling, while "La Llama," produced in collaboration with White Horse and Apartamento, delves into animation, architecture, and design through the creative universe of Jaime Hayon. These join Carla Simón's previously unveiled short film "Flamenco," which reinterprets flamenco traditions. The campaign aims to showcase Spanish screen talent as part of a broader creative ecosystem with international reach, highlighting the country's current momentum in audiovisual production.
