35-Jähriger auf den Gleisen im S-Bahnhof Reeperbahn – er suchte einen Schlafplatz 20.02.2026

On Thursday morning at approximately 6:05 AM, a 35-year-old man entered the tracks at the S-Bahn station Reeperbahn in Hamburg, intending to sleep there. The driver of an outgoing S-Bahn on line S7, heading towards Königstraße, initiated an emergency brake shortly after departing the station, narrowly avoiding a collision with the man. Approximately 45 passengers were on board the affected train, and no injuries were reported. Video footage confirmed the incident, showing the man leaving the tracks independently after the braking and subsequently boarding another S-Bahn. Federal police officers identified and apprehended the Russian national, who reiterated his intention to sleep on the tracks. He was not under the influence of alcohol and was released after a preventative discussion about railway safety, facing administrative offense proceedings for unauthorized presence on the tracks and disruptive behavior.
