Fanny Utagushimaninde, a 15-year-old opening batter from Rwanda, has become the youngest woman to score a Twenty20 international century, achieving this milestone on her T20 debut. She scored an unbeaten 111 off 65 balls in a 122-run victory against Ghana at the Tafawa Balewa Square Cricket Oval in Lagos, Nigeria. Utagushimaninde's remarkable innings, which saw her reach three figures in the 18th over, surpassed the previous record held by Uganda's Prosscovia Alako. Her score also stands as the highest by a woman on T20 debut, eclipsing Australia's Karen Rolton. This achievement highlights the success of development cricket programs in Rwanda.
