Nathan Potier and Erica Palmer, both 36, from Oklahoma have been arrested in Sparks, Nevada, on felony warrants for allegedly using a 14-year-old girl as a surrogate for twins. The investigation began in December 2025 after Child Protective Services reported the teen's pregnancy and the potential paternity of her mother's boyfriend, Potier. When the Oklahoma City Police Department sought a warrant for Potier's DNA, the couple fled the state. They were apprehended on March 17 by the U.S. Marshals Nevada Violent Offender Task Force. Potier faces charges of sexual abuse of a child, while Palmer is charged with enabling child abuse and desertion of a child under 15. The teen, now 15, is in foster care, and her due date was in February.
