Utah Nurse Found Guilty of Killing Friend After Bizarre Fake Cancer Claims and $1.5M Plot 25.03.2026

Utah nurse Meggan Sundwall, 48, has been found guilty of aggravated manslaughter in the August 2024 death of her friend, 38-year-old Kacee Lyn Terry. Prosecutors alleged Sundwall injected Terry with insulin as part of a scheme to collect a $1.5 million life insurance policy, believing Terry had terminal cancer. However, investigators later determined Terry did not have cancer and died from an overdose of promethazine and probable insulin. The defense contended that Terry, who had a history of falsely claiming to be ill, died by suicide. Sundwall faces a potential sentence of 15 years, with sentencing scheduled for May 4.
