Bewoners al maand zonder lift en oplossing niet in zicht: "Gaat zo tergend langzaam" 25.03.2026

Residents of a ten-story apartment building in the Coffijboomstraat, Haarlemmerbuurt, have been without a functioning elevator for a month, significantly impacting their quality of life. Ymere, the property owner, is struggling to resolve the issue due to difficulties in obtaining necessary parts, with no clear timeline for repair. The prolonged outage has forced some elderly residents to stay indoors and one family with young children to relocate temporarily. While Ymere has installed stairlifts on each floor, residents describe the process as extremely slow and inconvenient, with one resident reporting a fifty-minute descent. The municipal council has expressed concern over these persistent lift failures, urging housing corporations to implement long-term solutions. Ymere is offering temporary accommodation for those severely affected.
