Two individuals have been arrested in connection with a theft at the renowned Naguleswaram Temple in Kirimalai, Jaffna, which is one of the prestigious Panch Ishwarams. Following the discovery that approximately 4 kg of silver had been stolen from the temple, a complaint was lodged at the Kankesanthurai Police Station. Based on rapid investigations conducted regarding the theft, the police identified and arrested two suspects. The two arrested individuals are currently being held at the Kankesanthurai Police Station as further investigations into the theft continue. This incident has caused significant alarm among the local residents. The theft has once again highlighted concerns regarding the sanctity of the temple and the security of its assets. Police are continuing investigative efforts to identify other individuals involved in the theft.
