NHAI raises Delhi-Meerut expressway toll rates for 2026-27 from April 1; check revised toll rates 1d ago

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) will implement a toll rate increase on the Delhi-Meerut Expressway (DME) effective April 1, 2026, for the 2026-27 financial year, with an average hike of approximately five percent. All toll payments will transition to a fully digital system, accepting only FASTag or UPI transactions. This adjustment affects commuters on the 82km stretch from Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut, with light vehicles like cars and jeeps seeing a one-way toll rise to ₹175 from ₹170, and return journeys increasing to ₹265. Similar increases are in place for other vehicle categories, and the expressway utilizes a closed tolling system with cameras and FASTag readers at seven entry/exit points to charge based on distance traveled.
