Domestic Trade Ministry seizes RM32m in petrol and diesel, arrest 667 under Ops Tiris 3.0 29.03.2026

The Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Ministry (KPDN) has seized over RM32 million in petrol and diesel and apprehended 667 individuals as part of Ops Tiris 3.0, a nationwide operation conducted between January 1 and March 27, 2024. During this period, 38,615 inspections led to 1,371 recorded cases, highlighting the ministry's commitment to combating fuel leakage, smuggling, and misappropriation. KPDN is intensifying these efforts through strategic collaborations with agencies like the Royal Malaysia Police and Malaysian Border Control and Protection Agency, aiming to tighten controls at entry and exit points. The ministry also warned against exploiting the West Asian conflict and assured the public of continued supply stability for controlled fuel commodities.
