Amit Shah vows to deport all infiltrators from Assam 8h ago

Union Home Minister Amit Shah, during election rallies in Assam's Sonitpur and Nalbari on Sunday, March 29, 2026, pledged to make the state free from infiltrators if the BJP is granted another term. He asserted that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi, India's borders are secure and that his government has worked to curb infiltration and reclaim encroached land. Shah stated that approximately 1.25 lakh acres have been freed from encroachment and vowed to continue these efforts. He also contrasted the current situation with the past, claiming that the BJP government has brought peace and stability to Assam, unlike the Congress rule which he alleged was plagued by insurgency.
